Wow... Post 7! And less than a month since my last post.... wonders will never cease.

Well it was the busiest week at work last week and I have made it through unscathed. I'm now looking forward to a little more chilled week this week.

We are going camping on Thursday for a couple of nights, just to get away for a change of scenery. We haven't camped since our trip to Tolaga Bay which was last summer. So this will be the first camping trip of the summer and of 2010. We are staying at Waikite Valley where they have hot pools and a campsite. It will be nice to relax in the pools and sleep under the stars.

New Year's Resolutions

Well It has been nearly a year since I last posted a blog... lol... it really should be more often than an annual event.

Last year has been a pretty dreadful year for many people, me included. I am optimistic that 2010 will be a better year. It would be hard to be a worse one.

My resolutions for this year are pretty simple.
1. Lose 13kgs by the end of April.
2. Find a local Yoga class that meets outside of my work hours.
4. Not let "the little things" stress me out.
5. Keep this blog updated at least once a month.
6. Take my multi-vitamins and folic acid.

My husband (personal trainer) is going to do me a program ready to work on resolution 1. I have found a couple of walking groups that fit around my work hours so that will be a bit of motivation. The hardest thing for me and exercise is to find the something that motivates me to actually do it.

There is a great website which has a diary for food and exercise. It calculates the calories burnt and calories eaten. I have to keep my calories out, less than my calories in. Sounds easy, unfortunately for an unmotivated, exercise-hating couch potato that is not an easy thing at all.
